"Hawaii Who?"

I have to admit that I was one of those people that could not understand why Hawaii was not getting more respect in the rankings, during the season. They were beating teams, handily, every weekend and still not getting many first place votes. They have an awesome quarterback, Colt Brennan, who could throw a football through a coffee can and I still believe he will have a good NFL career. Of course, he couldn't have won all of those awards without someone to catch his laser beam passes. He had 3 who seemed to have glue on their hands and could run with it after they caught it. The thing they didn't have was a line that could stop, top notch, defensive lineman like those from Georgia . It looked like a pro team playing a junior high. They did what they wanted on, just about, every snap. I was hoping Brennan would make it through the game alive let alone win the game. This was just another example of how superior the SEC is to other conferences. Congrats to Hawaii on a great season but if you want to play with the big dogs you better find some offensive lineman.

Hawaii played against one ranked team this season (Boise St.) before getting obliterated by Georgia. I agree that Colt will do well, but you're only as good as the teams you play against.
Good points about Hawaii. It must be very strange to play for a school located pretty much in the middle of the Pacific. It would be interesting to know about the logistics of carrying on a season, given that when they say "an away game," man do they ever mean AWAY.
Michigan was playing over their heads for Lloyd Carr,,,,,,,,,, the Hogs were the only SEC team that got whupped...... let's hope the Bayou Bengals are motivated to do their best against the Buckeyes so the SEC will be 7-2....... I get sick of the tv commentators talking about how the Big Ten has a better heads up record against the SEC......... They're the same journalists who stole the Heisman from
Peyton and gave it to the Michigan wide receiver..............
No doubt, you hit that one on the head!!! Now you know why June Jones is talking to SMU about their vacancy....When you think of Hawaii, you think more of grass skirts, pineapples, and girlie drinks, but will give them credit for building a decent football program for the island..just don't bring it to the south, where football rules...
I can't believe he went to SMU after they got the NCAA Death Penalty.
