Shut Up Anguan!

Like my mom always said "There will always be someone who will rain on the
parade.". She was right. Lately, in the news, there is someone raining on the Phoenix Cardinals parade. His name is Anquan Boldin. Let's try to get the time line right. He strains a hamstring in an earlier playoff game. He practices very little the week before the Conference Championship game. Then when the offensive coordinator decides to sit him a little he gets his little feelings hurt and wants to show his butt by screaming at his coach. Now I will give him the benefit of doubt. He says he was not told why he was taken out so much. Maybe he should have been told. But a coach does not have to do that for anyone. Could it be that on the other side of the offensive line there is a guy named Larry Fitzgerald, who is the greatest receiver in the universe and can catch any pass that is thrown anywhere in the stadium? It goes right back to the basic concept that, myself, and every other coach has had to deal with. We hear it every year. I would rather lose and my son play than to win and my son sit and support the team. Obviously Mr. Boldin is not used to being a supporting cast. He is an awesome receiver who can break the big play at any time but Fitzgerald is in another world. The best thing Anguan can do is SHUT UP and be happy that he is going to have a chance to do the unthinkable. That is to win the first Super Bowl championship for a team that has been the doormat for so long. Greed is a terrible thing. Especially when it breaks up a team and takes their eyes off the prize. My prediction is Cardinals 24 Steelers 20. I really just hope it is a good game and comes down to the final drive. Comments Showing most recent comments first [Show in chronological order instead] |
