Habitat for Humanity held its annual Christmas dinner in the Fellowship Hall of First Baptist Church on Thursday, Dec. 8. Those participating in the potluck dinner were treated to a good meal and entertainment from talented performers from Fine Arts Warehouse. Dyer County's first Habitat homeowners were also treated to a special Christmas surprise, when longtime Habitat volunteer Charlie James announced "Friends of Judy" paid off the remainder of the home Judy Jones purchased through the Habitat program in 1992. James presented a tearful Jones with the deed to her property, paid in full.
