Groundbreaking for Curry's Funeral Home

Curry's Funeral Home held a groundbreaking for its new facility at 9 a.m., on Monday, Sept. 9. The groundbreaking is the next chapter in Curry's service to the Dyer County community, which includes over 130 years of caring for local residents in their greatest times of sorrow. The Curry family established a furniture and undertaking business just off Dyersburg's Historic Courthouse Square in 1881. The business moved to its present location in 1921. The new site, located at 1984 St. John Ave, will be home to a new 7,592 square foot state-of-the-art facility. Community leaders, friends and family members joined together on Monday morning to celebrate with the Curry's Funeral Home staff.
