United Way sets goal at $490,000

The United Way of Dyer County held its capital campaign kickoff at Developmental Skills in Dyersburg at 11 a.m., on Friday, Sept. 9, with Dyer County board members announcing a goal to raise $490,000 for programs and agencies aiding local residents. Funds raised in the 2013-2014 campaign go directly back into the Dyer County community to benefit programs designed to aid local residents. United Way funding currently supports 26 agencies and 38 programs serving Dyer County residents.
