A man and woman are currently being held in the Dyer County jail on drug charges after a Monday evening search of a house with an active meth lab in it. Regina Mai Jones, 30, 1428 Tatumville Road, Newbern, was arrested along with Justin Todd Moore, 29, 875 Wheeler Road, Alamo, after members of the Dyer County Sheriff's Department and Dyersburg Police Department did a search of the Newbern residence and discovered a meth lab...
Total 20-year prison term given for drug charges

In Dyer County Circuit Court: Thomas was sentenced to 11 months, 29 days in jail, with the sentence suspended immediately. He was placed on probation for the same time period. He also was fined $250. On the first cocaine charge, Isom was accused of possessing about 102 grams of crack cocaine. He was sentenced to eight years in prison and fined $3,000. A 14-year-old girl who sparked a nationwide Amber Alert was found guilty Tuesday of two counts of filing a false police report. The Caruthersville girl was accused of making two 911 calls to the Dyer County Sheriff's Department on July 15. She told a 911 operator that she and her younger sister were riding down a two-lane highway in a red or burgundy vehicle.
