He was born February 18, 1922, in Warren County, Pennsylvania, to the late C. Eugene and Edith Hansen Powers. He began his career at GTE Sylvania in 1951 and retired as plant manager in 1990, he was a United States Air Force veteran and flew 31 missions over Germany and was a member of the eighth Air Force during WWII, he graduated from Penn State in 1951, was a Kentucky Colonel, and former member of the Winchester Country Club and the Elks Club.. ...
