Mac H. Alphin

Mac H. Alphin, 84, of Kenton, died Wednesday, April 30, 2003 at his residence. He was a farmer, a U.S. Army veteran and a member of Cool Springs Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Johnson Funeral Home with Doctor Howard Hensley officiating. Burial will be in Cool Springs Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors at 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife, Marquerite Alphin of Kenton; a daughter, Alicia Tollison of Alpharetta, Ga.; two grandchildren, Mackenzie Tollison of Alpharetta, Ga. and Laura Alphin Malyjaskak-Whitby of Ontario, Canada; a great-grandson, Andrew Malyjaskiak-Whitby of Ontario, Canada; a nephew, Donald Alphin of Paris; and a cousin, Birney Alphin of Franklin.

He was preceded in death by a son, Joe Mac Alphin; and his parents, George and Mollie Pierce Alphin.

Pallbearers will be Robert Minton, Mike Minton, Seigel Jackson, Wilburn Doran, Albert Jackson, Mickey Robertson.
