He was retired from Parris Manufacturing Co. after 35 years and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Services will be at 1 p.m. today in the chapel of Shackelford Funeral Home in Savannah. Burial will be in Shady Hill Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Mable McClain Jennings of Savannah; a daughter, Glenda Sweat Cummins of Savannah; a son, David Jennings of Savannah; a sister, Edna Butler Cagle of Dyersburg; two brothers, I.D. Jennings of Savannah and D.H. "Jake" Jennings of Olive Branch, Miss.; and two grandchildren.
