Helene J. Hughes

Helene J. Hughes, 82, of Rushville, IN, died Thursday, September 5, 2002, at 11 p.m. at Rush Memorial Hospital in Rushville.

She has a daughter who lives in Dyersburg, Mrs. O. T. "TY" (Pamela J.) Sirmans.

Mrs. Hughes was a homemaker. She lived in Rushville since 1946 and, prior to that lived in Linden and Madison, WI. She was a 1938 graduate of Madison East High School in Madison, WI. She married John N. Hughes in 1946. He preceded her in death on March 2, 1992.

She was a member of the St. Paul United Methodist Çhurch in Rushville, Kappa Delta Phi sorority, Past President of the American Legion Women's Auxiliary, the Senior Citizens Center and the Women's Auxiliary of the Red Men's Group, Whapahani.

Moster and Cox Mortuary of Rushville is officiating. Visitation will be Sunday between 4 and 8 p.m. The funeral will be at the mortuary on Monday, September 9, followed by a burial ceremony at the East Hill Cemetery.
