William Porter Young, 79, of Friendship, died Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2002 at his residence.

He was a retired farmer and carpenter and a member of Elizabeth United Methodist Church.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Elizabeth United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friendship Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
