He was a retired factory worker and attended McCullough Chapel Baptist Church.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Dietz; a daughter, Ann Ruwoldt of Saint Marys, Ohio; a son, Gary Dietz of Coldwater, Ohio; two stepdaughters, Linda Berry and Beverly Lewellyn, both of Dyersburg; four stepsons, Jeff Ward of Benton, Ill., Albert Ward and Paul Ward, both of Dyersburg and John Ward of Newbern; three sisters, Mary Heinfelt of New Breman, Ohio, Delores Weinstock of Anna, Ohio and Betty Lovett of Indian Lake, Ohio; two brothers, Bernard Dietz of New Breman, Ohio and Don Dietz of Salina, Ohio; four grandchildren; 12 step-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
The family requests that any memorials be directed to Angel Flight, c/o Hester Hill, 532 Lewis Ave., Dyersburg, TN 38024.
