Hassie L. Burke

Hassie L. Burke, 92, of Arnold, Mo., formerly of Dyersburg, died Wednesday, June 4, 2003 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in DeSoto, Mo. She was a homemaker and a former member of RoEllen Baptist Church. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in Sorrell's Chapel Cemetery with the Rev. William Oakley officiating. J.W. Curry & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive visitors at 6-8 p.m. today at Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home in Arnold, Mo. The widow of John J. "Jack" Burke, survivors include a daughter, Peggy Wright of Memphis; a son, William M. Stafford of Arnold, Mo.; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
