Herbert Ables

Herbert Ables, 64, of Newbern, died Wednesday, June 4, 2003 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. He was a farmer. Graveside services were at 9:30 a.m. today in Dyersburg City Cemetery with the Rev. John Morris officiating. J.W. Curry & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Ables of Newbern; a daughter, Polly Chamberlain of Newbern; tthree sons, Tim Burns of Finley and Larry Ables and Robert Ables, both of Tulsa, Okla.; two sisters, Claira Mae Sawyers of Friendship and Dorothy Harrsion of Kentucky; two brothers, Homer Ables of Indiana and Larry Ables of Finley; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
