Joseph A. 'Joe Peck' Hayden Jr.

Joseph A. Hayden Jr., 65, of Caruthersville, died Sunday, Sept. 7, 2003 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-East in Memphis.

He was a pharmacist and co-owner of Hayden's Pharmacy in Caruthersville. He was a 1955 graduate of Caruthersville High School and a 1964 graduate of the School of Pharmacy at the University of Mississippi in Oxford. He was a member of the Missouri Pharmacy Association, National Association of Community Pharmacists, Pharmaceutical Compounding Center of America, Ole Miss Loyalty Foundation and a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. While attending Catholic grade school, he was a member of the Knight of the Alter. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Services were held Wednesday at the Sacred Heart Church in Caruthersville with Father Joe Campbell officiating. Burial was in Little Prairie Cemetery. The H.S. Smith Funeral Home was in charge of the services.
