Truitt Whitley

Truitt Whitley, 66, of Dyersburg, died Thursday, Sept. 25, 2003 at his residence.

He was a retired employee of Ford Motor Company in Michigan.

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Kenneth Westbrook officiating.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Whitley of Dyersburg; a daughter, Terry Roberson of Friendship; a son, Jerry Whitley of Dyersburg; a sister, Eline Grisset of Glen Allan, Miss.; four brothers, Zabron Whitley and John Earl Whitley, both of Michigan, Bruce Whitley of Camden and Harold Whitley of Philadelphia, Miss.; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Babbitt; his parents, Raymond and Mary Edna 'Ed' Welch Whitley; and a brother, Frank Whitley.
