Joe J. Taylor

Joe J. Taylor, 69, of Dyersburg, died Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2003 at Baptist Hospital-East in Memphis.

He was a retired employee of Dyersburg Fabrics and a Mason.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Curry Funeral Home with the Rev. Frank Gardner officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors at 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife, Juanita Taylor of Dyersburg; a daughter, Karen Sawyers and husband, Ricky, of Dyersburg; a son, James "Pee Wee" Pennock of Dyersburg; a sister, Flossie Boone of Dyersburg; four grandchildren, Jimmy Lowe, Jamie Lowe, Ryan Sawyers and Pennie Bailey; and three great-grandchildren, Madison Lowe, Erin Bailey and Cory Bailey.

He was preceded in death by a son, Johnny Wayne Taylor; a sister, Medie Jones; and four brothers, Jessie Taylor, Norris Taylor, Houston Taylor and Johnnie B. Taylor.

Pallbearers will be James Taylor, Larry Joe Baker, Dennis Ray Baker, Donald Lummus, Terry Baker and John Cody Taylor.
