Ethel Pope Milner

Ethel Pope Milner, 81, of Martin, died Wednesday, Nov. 12 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.

She was a retired employee of Martin Manufacturing Company and a member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Martin.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Murphy Funeral Home with the Rev. Mac Jett officiating. Burial will be in East Side Cemetery in Martin.

Survivors include a son, Dale Milner of Dyersburg; a sister, Bobbie Mullins of Martin; a brother, Jerry Pope of Martin; two grandchildren, Meredith Sydnor of Union and Craig Milner of Nashville; and two great-grandchildren, Garrett Sydnor and Maddie Sydnor, both of Union City.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Milner; her parents, Earl Arden and Katie Martin Pope; and a sister, Norma Jean Merritt.

Pallbearers will be Dwight Merritt, Jeff Merritt, Donnie Milner, Keenan Hailey, Billie Stover and Danny Dabbs.

The family request that any memorials be directed to Christ Classical Academy of Dyersburg, Martin Senior Citizens or Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
