He was a professional land surveyor and a retired hydrologist with Corps of Engineer
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Glenn Burse and Paul Helton officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg.
The family will receive visitors at 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife, Betty F. McClure of Dyersburg; three sons, Marty McClure and Mark McClure, both of Newbern and Mickey L. McClure of Dyersburg; a stepson, Ritchie Cherry of Obion; a brother, John W. McClure of RoEllen; four grandchildren, Shelley M. Sides of Newbern, Maryanna Wells McClure of Dyersburg and Ross A. Cherry and Ashley Cherry, both of Obion; and a great-grandchild, Megan Sides of Newbern.
Pallbearers will be Chuck Walden, Don Maxwell, Stoy Slaughter, Tom Autry, Steve Throgmorton, Randy Gregory, Bob Newbill and John Palmer. Honorary pallbearers will be Moody Sentell, Melvin Barnes, Macie Roberson, Dick Lane, Rick Crawford and Sam Lehr.
The family request that any memorials be directed to the West Dyersburg Church of Christ Building Fund or TAPS c/o McClure Associates., 111 Mill Ave. S, Dyersburg, TN 38024.
