Earl McCall Walker

Earl McCall Walker, 77, of Portageville, Mo., died Tuesday, Nov. 11 at Pemiscot Memorial Health Systems in Hayti, Mo.

He was owner and operator of Earl Walker Mechanical Contractor, served as mayor and Alderman of Portageville, a member of Rotary, taught Sunday School classes at First Baptist Church, where he was a member and a Navy veteran of Korean Conflict.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Mark Inman officiating. Burial will be in Portageville Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors at 5:30 p.m. today at Delisle Funeral Home in Portageville.

Survivors include two sons, Rodney Walker of Dyersburg and Randy Paul Walker of Corpus Christi, Texas; a sister, Melva Benton of Bryant, Ark.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Louise Bass Walker; a daughter, Sherri Ann Scherer; a son, Steve Allen Walker; and a granddaughter, Megan Elizabeth Scherer.
