He was a retired farmer, a member of Obion First Baptist Church and a U.S. Army veteran.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Melvin Poe officiating. Burial will be in Pierce Cemetery in Trimble. The family will receive visitors at 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
