Vincent Ray Wright, 78, of Newbern, formerly of Louisville, Ky., died Thursday, Oct. 23, 2003, at Baptist Hospital in Union City.

He was a metal finisher for Kentucky Platting.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Julian Huey officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Newbern.

The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Survivors include six daughters, Vivian Huey of Newbern, Debbie Botts, Mary Burnes, Bridgett Faught and Maria Fox, all of Union City, and Pat Morris of Trenton, Ohio; a stepdaughter, Debbie Wright of Louisville, Ky.; five sons, Bill Gumm of Trenton, Ohio, Merle Gumm of London, Ky., and Gary Gumm, Dewey Wright and Vince Wright, all of Union City; 32 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey Ray and Anna Coleman Wright. Pallbearers will be Dewey Wright, Vince Wright, Gary Gumm, Danny Jones, Jimmy Jones, Joe McManis and Jeff Fox.
