Samuel 'Sammy' L. Nichols Sr.

Samuel "Sammy" L. Nichols Sr., 27, of Southaven, Miss., died Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2003, at his residence.

He was a diesel mechanic with Clark Detroit Diesel and Allison Co.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 27, at Bethel Baptist Church in Walls, Miss., where he was a member. Burial will be in Forest Hill South Cemetery. Forest Hill South Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include his wife, Crissy Nichols of Southaven, Miss.; two sons, 2-year-old Samuel "Levi" Nichols Jr. and 5-month-old William "Riley" Nichols, both of Southaven, Miss.; his parents, Jerry W. Nichols Sr. of Horn Lake, Miss., and Barbara Nichols of Southaven, Miss.; a sister, Melissa Reed of Southaven, Miss.; four brothers, Jerry Nichols Jr. of Ripley, Joe Nichols of Dyersburg, Ron Nichols of Alamo and David Nichols of Horn Lake, Miss.; his grandparents, Ed and Annis Smith of Southaven, Miss., and Buford Ozment of Alamo.

The family requests that any memorials be directed to Bethel Baptist Church, 6001 Goodman Rd., Walls, MS 38680.
