William A. Newton, 78, of Dyersburg, died Sunday, Nov. 23, 2003 at his residence.

He was a retired employee of Dyersburg Fabrics after 14 years, a U.S. Army veteran and a member of Halls First Assembly of God.

Services were at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Curry Funeral Home with the Rev. A.L. Land officiating. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg.
