He was a retired salesman for Glass Auto Parts, a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church where he was a Sunday school director and deacon and an avid fisherman and traveler. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Hillcrest Baptist Church with the Rev. Lynn King and the Rev. Tom Pirtle officiating. Burial will be in Halls Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at 5:30-8 p.m. Friday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
