She was a retired nurse's aide from Covington Manor.
Services will be at 1 p.m. today in the chapel of Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Dewayne Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Covington Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include four daughters, Becky Gray and husband, Randy, of Linden, Lydia Gregory of Clearwater, Fla., Dorothy Hanks and husband, Fred, of Dyersburg and Carolyn Warden of Newbern; a son, Lanier Chumley and wife, Carolyn, of Drummonds; a daughter-in-law, Nancy Chumley; a brother, Alfred Attaway and wife, Avanell, of Dyersburg; 19 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Colvett; a son, Chedor "Bubba" Chumley; and her parents, Chedor L. and Eliza Davis Powers.
Pallbearers will be Chris Crawford, Fred Hanks Jr., Derek Hanks, Jim Cornwell, Rodney Gray, Edward Hanks and Larry Joe Thedford.
