He was retried from General Motors Company, a member of the Dyer County Senior Citizens Association and a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church in Dyersburg, where he was a member. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg.
The family will receive visitors from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Curry Funeral Home.
Survivors include three daughters, Marion Kowalski of Dyersburg, Martha Ealey of Marion, Ill., and Angela Fuqua of Batavia, Ill.; four sisters, Shirley Allison of Senora, Calif., Margie Tate of Phoenix, Anise McQue of Camden and Ree Cates of Nankipoo; a brother, John Thomas Cook of Memphis; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ona May Kirby Cook; two sons, Rodney Cook and Joseph Cook; and four brothers, Enus Cook, Joseph L. Cook Jr., Lewis Cook and Paul Cook.
Pallbearers will be Joseph Cook, Dirk Fuqua, Chuck Ealey.
