The 2004 Tennessee Pepsi Youth Bowling Championship Tournament took place in Memphis two weeks ago. More than 700 youth bowlers participated from across the state, including 55 members of the Dyersburg Area YABA.

The Dyersburg squad made a strong showing as they placed 10 bowlers in the top 20 in various age groups. That includes Amber Mosley who won the Tennessee State Championship in the 11-under division.

Stephanie Starks took state runner-up in the 12-and-up division, which earned her a $200 scholarship.

Mosley took first place with a high-game handicap of 253. She won a $200 scholarship.

Other placers include Dallas Watson (4th, 12-up), Kaylinn Holland (5th, 11-under), Brittany (5th, 12-up), Melissa Rawdon (4th, 12-up), Amy Runions (8th, 12-up), Lea Ann Maners (8th, 12-up), Patrick Bryant (15th, 12-up) and Houston Watson (20th, 12-up).
