GoogleHe was the former manager of Dyer Lumber Company and a co-owner of Friendship Funeral Home in Friendship. He was a Mason, a member of the Halls First United Methodist Church and the Methodist Men's Club and for two terms served as mayor of Halls, 1973 to 1974 and 1981 to 1983.
Funeral services took place at 2 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Halls Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Maury City Cemetery.
