LaVern Siler Barker, 90, of Dyersburg, died Thursday, July 15, 2004, at Bayfront Hospital in St. Petersburg, Fla.

She was a retired chief telephone operator for Southern Bell/BellSouth and a member of First Christian Church in Dyersburg.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Friendship Funeral Home. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
