Golda Louise Newton

Golda Louise Newton, 92, of Memphis, formerly of Tiptonville, died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2005 at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis.

She was a retired employee of the state of Tennessee Employment Services and a Catholic.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. today in Tiptonville City Cemetery with Father Elbert Callis officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include a nephew, John Newton of Memphis; and a sister-in-law, Laverne S. Newton.

The family requests that any memorials be directed to the Catholic Church.
