Mavis Caldwell Sellers

Mavis Caldwell Sellers, 98, of Columbus, Ga., formerly of Dyersburg, died Thursday, Jan. 20, 2005 at Sunrise Senior Living in Columbus, Ga.

She was a homemaker, a member of Dyersburg First United Methodist Church, Sellers Sunday school class, former president of United Methodist Women, charter member and former president of Summer Hill Garden Club, former director of Dyer County Fair Association, former director and membership chairman of the Dyersburg/Dyer County Community Concert Association, director of the Pink Ladies at Methodist Hospital of Dyersburg, and member of Price Bible class at First United Methodist Church having served as Circle Chairman many times.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the First United Methodist Church in Dyersburg with Dr. Phillip Cook and the Rev. Wade Cox officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg.

The family will receive visitors at 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
