He was a retired hospital administrator, employed with Pemiscot Memorial Hospital from 1966-1973 and at Memorial Hospital in Trenton until his retirement in 1986; a veteran of World War II serving as a pharmacist's mate aboard the LSM 182; and a member of First Baptist Church in Trenton where he served as deacon.
Services were held at 1 p.m. April 11 at First Baptist Church in Trenton. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg. Shelton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
