He was a retired electrical engineer. He was a 1943 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and served in the Pacific Theater aboard the USS Claxton during World War II.
Graveside services took place on Saturday, May 7, at 1 p.m. at Tiptonville City Cemetery with the Rev. Andy Martin officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
