He worked for Kelly Foods for 22 years and was a restaurant owner. He served in the Army during World War II during the Battle of the Bulge. He was a member of the Zion Hill Baptist Church.
Services were Sunday in the chapel of Friendship Funeral Home with the Rev. Tommy Warner officiating. Burial was in Providence Cemetery in Madison County.
