Thelma Irene Cherry

Thelma Irene Cherry, 91, of Friendship, died Saturday, June 18, 2005, at Maplewood Healthcare Center in Jackson.

She was a homemaker and a private duty nurse and a member of Friendship Baptist Church.

Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Friendship Funeral Home with the Rev. John McCommon officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery.

Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Catherine Cherry of Southaven, Miss.; and a granddaughter, Phyllis Griggs and husband, D'aray of Southhaven, Miss.

She was preceded in death by a son, Ashley Cherry.
