Mission March draws hundreds to race from Downtown and back for ministry

Almost 500 people took part in the Dyersburg-Dyer County Union Mission's annual rite of autumn racing on Saturday, with records set by runners in the several categories.

"I think it went really well," said Mission executive director Rev. Jerry Edmundson. "It was a beautiful day, and I think everyone had a good time."

The charity raised more than $12,000 from the fund-raiser, which aids the Mission's outreach ministries and youth programs.
