National retriever competition slated for city

Taking advantage of outdoor sports enthusiasts evident in the Dyersburg region, May 8-12 is scheduled for the nationally televised Super Retriever Series to be hosted in the city.

The broadcast is the first time the community has hosted the nation's premier retriever contest.

The Super Retriever Series features expertly-trained Labrador and Chesapeake Bay retrievers, each competing against the best dogs in the world. The city will host the SRS contest on a section of the Dyersburg North Industrial Park.
