Everett Vernon Joslin
Everett Vernon Joslin, 83, of Dyersburg, died Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2007 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
He was a retired employee of Terminix and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Dyer County Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Johnny Michael officiating.
The family will receive visitors at 5-8 p.m. today at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home in Newbern.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Gurlie Joslin of Dyersburg; five sisters, Frances Stephens of Central, Patsy Connell of Tampa, Fla., Monette Joslin of Dyersburg, Marcella Mallard and husband, Fred, of Flint, Mich. and ARdella Meeks of Palmersville; four brothers, Macky Josline and wife, Carolyn, Cystler Josline and wife, Lois, Fentriss Joslin and wife, Silby and Jessie Joslin and wife, Jessica, all of Dyersburg.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Vernon "Jiggs" Joslin and Gurtha Pratt Jolsin.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Joslin, Mark Clark, Johnny Hawks, James Robert Hawks, David Carr, Jacob Rogers, Wesley Smith and Danny Ellis.
The family request that any memorials be directed to RoEllen Baptist Church, 5868 Hwy. 104 E., Dyersburg, TN 38024 or to the American Cancer Society.
Mary Lee Livingston
Mary Lee Livingston, 60, of Newbern, died Sunday, Sept. 2, 2007 at the Regional Hospital in Jackson.
She was a employee of Sara Lee and a member of Jones Street Church of Christ.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Jones St. Church of Christ with Brother W.O. Armstead officiating. Burial will be in Monroe Citizens Organization Cemetery in Newbern.
Survivors include her husband, Clarence Livingston of Newbern; a daughter, Helen Vaughn of Newbern; three sons, Jerry Wilkes, Donald Lee Wilkes and Jeff Wilkes, all of Newbern; six sisters, Alma McNeal of Denmark, Lula Mae Wilkes of Newbern, Jessie Yancy, Rosie Wellington, Mary Beaureguard, and Martha Taylor, all of Hardeman County; three brothers, Charlie Yancy, Walter Lee Yancy and Charlie Steward, all of Hardeman County; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Esther Wilkes; and her parents, Elmo and Willie Mae Yancy.
Lucille Haynes, 84, of Dyersburg, died Thursday August 30,2007 at Wesley of Dyersburg Nursing Care Center.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church were she was a member, with the Rev. W.L. McCadney officiating. Burial will be in Monroe Citizens Community Organization Cemetery in Newbern. Cosmopolitan Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be held 6-8:p.m. Thursday at the church.
Survivors include a daughter, Bonnie Jackson and husband, Melvin, of Milwaukee, Wis. three Sons, Robert Haynes and wife, Karen, and Andrew West, all of Dyersburg, TN, and Floyd West of Memphis; a sister, Thelma Crook of St. Louis, Mo.; 48 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great grandchildern.
Maurine Lippard, died Monday, Sept. 3, 2007 in Cleveland.
