Jerry Floyd King

Jerry Floyd King, 66, of Obion, died Thursday, Sept. 6, 2007, at his residence.

He was a retired truck driver for Milan Express.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Sept. 10 at Obion United Methodist Church, where he was a member, with the Rev. Terry English and the Rev. Randy Stacy officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Obion.

The family will receive visitors from 2-6 p.m. Sunday at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. Monday at the church.

Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Teresa Ring King of Obion; two daughters, Tammy Hall and husband William and Laurinda Rippy and husband John, all of Indianapolis, Ind.; a son, Anthony Ring and wife Stacey of Obion; a niece, Barbara Jean Anthony of Jackson; a nephew, Jeff King of Newbern; 10 grandchildren, Brandon Hubbard, Nicholas Hubbard, Amanda Rippy, Samantha Rippy, Tyler Ring, Ashton Ring, April Smith, Jessica Hall, Allison Hall and Joey Hubbard; two great-grandchildren Kylee Brooke Smith and Hayden Joy Hubbard.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Vera Lee Barnes King and Joseph Floyd King; and a brother, Billy Joe King.

Pallbearers will be Dale Lyons, Ken Lyons, Jason Lyons, Kevin Lyons, Danny McDonald, David Glover and Robert McDavid. Honorary pallbearers are David Ring, Jerry Ring, Dewayne Biggers, J.W. McKinney, Larry D. McKinney, Larry Pritchard, Bob Alford and Morris Yates.

Maurine Evelyn Lippard

Maurine Evelyn Lippard, 93, of Cleveland, Tenn., died Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2007, at her residence.

She was a retired nurse and a graduate of the School of Practical Nursing at Georgetown University.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Sunday at the Dyersburg Seventh-day Adventist Church, where she was a member, with John A. Sines Sr. and the Rev. Roy Thurmon officiating. Burial will be in Zion Cemetery in Elbridge.

The family will receive visitors from 7-9 p.m. Saturday at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

Survivors include four daughters, DeVona Malcolm of Burtonsville, Md., Bonita Sampson of Columbus, S.C., Jane Sines of Cleveland, Tenn., and Evelyn Spencer of Alabaster, Ala.; three sons, Bill Lippard of Chattanooga, Phil Lippard of Newbern and Royce Lippard of Collegedale; two brothers, Eugene Roddy of Lane and A.W. Roddy Jr. of Newbern; 31 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; and 19 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bonnie Wade Roddy and A.W. Roddy Sr.

Pallbearers will be Royce Wade Lippard II, Bill Lippard Sr., Wally Malcolm Jr., Clayton Lemuel Flowers, Bill Sampson, John A. Sines Jr., Phil Lippard, Phil Alton Lippard and Royce Wade Lippard.

The family requests that any memorials be directed to Pattern Life School in India, c/o Jane Sines, 225 Alicia Lane, Cleveland, TN 37311.

Clarence Williams

Clarence Williams, 70, of Ripley, died Thursday, Sept. 6, 2007, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Ripley.

He was a farmer.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Thompson's Mortuary in Ripley with the Rev. W.L. McCadney officiating. Burial will be in Bluff Cemetery in Ripley.

The family will receive visitors from noon until 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Survivors include a daughter, Ardury Williams of Ripley; four sisters, Brendale Bufford of Ripley, Coleen Williams and Learnstine Mercer, both of Detroit, and Laverne Williams of Chicago; three brothers, J.W. Williams of Ripley and Chester Williams and Larry Williams, both of Detroit; and three grandchildren, LaPorsche Anderson, Kala Anderson and Melik Dixon, all of Ripley.
