Derrick Dukes, 40, of Dyersburg, died Monday, Sept. 10, 2007 at Metro General Hospital in Nashville.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles F. McCright officiating. Burial will be in M.C.C.O. Cemetery in Newbern. Cosmopolitan Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive visitors at 1 p.m. Saturday at the church.
Survivors include a son, Tyler Dukes of Dyersburg; his mother, Carolyn Dukes of Dyersburg; his father, John Henry Dukes of Flint, Mich.; a sister, Jackie Dukes Elma and husband, Howard, of Dyersburg; and a brother, Kenneth "Ken" Dukes of Dyersburg.
Pallbearers will be Bill Brandon, Michael Lynn Parker, Jeffery Light, Keith Light, Eddie Light and Mark Jones.
Rhonda Faye Tucker
Rhonda Faye Tucker, 53, of Tiptonville, died Thursday, Sept. 13, 2007 at her residence.
She was a former housekeeping employee at Lara Kendall School.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Calvary Independent Baptist Church with the Rev. Carl Southerland officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery in Ridgely.
The family will receive visitors at 5:30-8 p.m. today at the Tiptonville chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Tucker; a daughter, Barbara Sue Tucker of Dyersburg; two sisters, Shirley Riddle of Samburg and Sheila Joyce Smith of Tiptonville; a brother, James Burress of Union City; and six grandchildren, Paul King, Emily King, Mark Ditto, Logan Ditto, Joshua Lawson and Jessica Ditto.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Otis and Mary Lucille Burress; a sister, Janette Lovell; and a brother, David Ray Burress.
Pallbearers will be Victor Galan, Alan Dotson, Josh Lawson, Logan Ditto, Mark Ditto and Paul King.
