Christine Frances Agee, 88, of Parsons, formerly of Dyersburg, died Friday, Sept. 21, 2007 at Decatur County Manor in Parsons.
She was a retired beautician and homemaker, and a member of First United Methodist Church, where she was a longtime Sunday school teacher.
Services will be held today at 3 p.m. at Dyersburg Funeral Home with Dr. Phillip Cook officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg.
The family will receive visitors today from 11:30 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Survivors include her husband, Burnard Agee; a daughter-in-law, Mary Will Roberts of Parsons; three grandchildren, Amanda Lindsey, DeeAnna Heath and Patty Kay Roberts; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Danny B. Roberts.
Pallbearers will be Craig Heath, Andy Lindsey, Joe Paul Myracle, Mark Milam, John Hayes, Will Milam and Jake Myracle.
The family requests that any memorials be directed to First United Methodist Church.
Dorys Dawson, 88, of Dyersburg, died Friday, Sept. 21, 2007 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
She was a homemaker and a member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg with Annetta Camp officiating.
The family will receive visitors from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Monday at Curry Funeral Home.
Survivors include two sons, Charles C. Dawson Jr. of Dyersburg, and Roger Dawson and wife, Linda, of Plano, Texas; four grandchildren, Charles Dawson and Chris Dawson, both of Trenton, Emily Simpson of Atoka and Amy Lenagar of Brighton; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles C. Dawson Sr.; her parents, JD and Geneva Blankenship Lambert; and a brother, Dorsey Lambert.
The family requests that any memorials be directed to the Dyersburg High School Athletic Fund or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Bob Holder, 76, of Dyersburg, died Friday, Sept. 21, 2007 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
He was the retired owner of Bob's Supply Co., actively involved with the ministries of the Dyersburg-Dyer County Union Mission, a former coach in the Newbern Dixie Youth and Babe Ruth baseball leagues, and an avid Atlanta Braves fan.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Edmundson and the Rev. Larry Blakeburn officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Milan.
Survivors include his wife, Geraldine Rose Holder of Dyersburg; a daughter, Mindy Jayroe and husband, Jim, of Newbern; three grandchildren, Andy Jayroe and wife, Holly, of Dyersburg, Clint Jayroe and wife, Jennifer, of Denver, Colo., and Ben Jayroe of Memphis; and a great-grandchild, Sam Jayroe of Dyersburg.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Ora Tate Holder; and a sister, Hannah Holder Watson.
Pallbearers will be Jim Jayroe, Andy Jayroe, Clint Jayroe, Ben Jayroe, Johnny Willis and Kurt Ball. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Rogers, Don Gatlin and George Younger.
