Harlan Hooper, 52, of Trezevant, died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2007.
He was a truck driver and cattle farmer.
Services will be at 4 p.m. today at Brummitt Funeral Home in Trezevant with Bro. Jackie Goad officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Trezevant.
The family will receive visitors at 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Hooper; a stepson, David McNeely Jr. of Dyersburg; a sister, Bonnie Buress of Miston; two brothers, Johnny G. Hooper of Trezevant and Jeff Hooper of Miston; and two grandchildren, Tyler Keith McNeely and Hunter Stewart McNeely.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George E. and Betty J. Carroll Hooper
George D. Pope, 73, of Newbern, died Sunday, Sept. 23, 2007 at his residence.
He was a retired U.S. Army veteran after 22 years earning the rank of SFC, former employee of Bryan Custom Plastics and the city of Newbern and a retired farmer.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Fairview Cemetery in Newbern with Bro. Sean Sullivan officiating. Johnson-Williams Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Edna Pope of Newbern; two sons, Mike Pope and Russell Pope and wife, Ava, all of Newbern; and two grandchildren, Claire Pope and Will Kwasiqroh, both of Newbern.
He was preceded in death by a son, David Pope; his parents, George and Lela Tharpe Pope; and two brothers, Bernice Pope and Eunice Pope.
Pallbearers will be Danny Carpenter, Jim Ferguson, Joe Ferguson, James Shaw, Don Cottrell and Bill Hobbs. Honorary pallbearers will be Charlie Hickerson, Mark Pledge, Danny Pledge, Jackie Pledge and Speck Evans.
Tom Wess Reeves, 82, of Finley, died Monday, Sept. 24, 2007 at Dyersburg Manor Nursing Center.
He was a retired employee of Heckethorn and a farmer, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, former Dyer County School Buss Driver and a member of Finley Methodist Church.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Ralph Gunter officiating. Burial will be in Dyer County Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive visitors at 5:30-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
The widow of Audrey Jones Reeves, survivors include a daughter, Patsy Campbell and husband, Norris, of Finley; two grandchildren, Susan Lee Davis and Jeff Lee, both of Dyersburg; three step grandchildren, Eric Campbell of Memphis, Heather Sorrell of Dyersburg and Curtis Campbell of Union City; a great-grandchild, Taylor Davis of Dyersburg; and four step great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Lance Davison, Doug Walk, Leonard Lee, Carlie Tubbs, Philip Tubbs and Kyle Sorrell. Honorary pallbearers will be Harold Davison and Don Westfall.
