James Ross Goodrick, 30, of Columbia, died Thursday, Sept. 27, 2007 in Columbia.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday in Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Eldon, Mo. with the Rev. Darryl Martin officiating. Philips Funeral Home in Eldon, Mo. is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include his parents, Peggy and Clarence Moore of Corpus Christi, Texas and William and Becky Goodrick of Columbia, Mo.; a brother, William Jason Goodrick of Dyersburg; a sister, Lara Jane Burkhart of Corpus Christi, Texas; his grandmother, Louise Ross of Savannah; and aunt and uncle, Kent and Betty Lynn Collier of Savannah.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any memorials be directed to New Life Church, 6111 Cayce Lane, Columbia, TN 38401.


Eleanor Turner McLaurin, 80, of Hollandale, Miss., died Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2007 at Methodist Central Hospital in Memphis.

She was a graduate of Mississippi State College for Women with a master's degree and was a member of Hollandale Methodist Church.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Hollandale First United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Hollandale Cemetery. Boone Funeral Home-Leland is in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive visitors at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the church.

Survivors include two daughters, Missye Turner and husband, Bill, of Covington and Mary Hobart and husband, Chip, of Hollandale; three sons, Mike W. McLaurin Jr. of Oxford, Miss., John T. McLaurin of Hollandale and Neill A. McLaurin and wife, Amy, of Dyersburg; a sister, Betty Wright of Warner-Robbins, Ga.; eight grandchildren, Jenni Turner Stevens, Matt Turner, Amee Turner Cromwell, Haley Hobart, Hobie Hobart, Josie McLaurin, Maggie McLaurin and Mary Grace Hobart; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Ward McLaurin; and her parents, John Tom and Minnie Everitt Turner.

Harlan Hooper, 52, of Trezevant, died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2007.

He was an employee of Choctaw Transportation and a cattle farmer.

Services were at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Brummitt Funeral Home in Trezevant with Bro. Jackie Goad officiating. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery in Trezevant.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Hooper; a stepson, David McNeely Jr. of Dyersburg; his mother, Betty J. Carroll Hooper of Miston; a sister, Bonnie Buress of Miston; two brothers, Johnny G. Hooper of Trezevant and Jeff Hooper of Miston; and two grandchildren, Tyler Keith McNeely and Hunter Stewart McNeely.

He was preceded in death by his father, George E. Hooper


Izola Hatch Patton, 82, of Dyersburg, died Wednesday, Sept. 26 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.

She was a homemaker and a Methodist.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Halliburton officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg.

The family will receive visitors at 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Survivor include three sons, Billy Patton, Charles Patton and Eddie Patton, all of Dyersburg; a sister, Crindola Milner of Dyersburg; 23 grandchildren; and 43 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar L. Patton Sr.; a daughter, Barbara Williams; and her parents, Leo and Clara Boyd Hatch.

Pallbearers will be Billy Patton Jr., Gerald Canada, Jimmy Deese, Tony Truscott, Jimmy Flatt and Seth Williams.


Elizabeth Fulghum, 88, of Dyer, died today at Gibson County General Hospital in Trenton.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.


Mary Jane Webb, 69, of Dyersburg, died today at her residence.
