Dallas Russell "Jackie" Brasfield, 65, of Friendship, died Friday, Sept. 28, 2007 at his residence.
He was a retired farmer and a member of First Baptist Church in Maury City.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church in Maury City with the Rev. David Green officiating. Burial will be in Floyd's Chapel Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors at 5-9 p.m. today at Friendship Funeral Home.
Survivors include a daughter, Susan Brasfield of Milan; a son, William Dallas Brasfield of Trezevant; two sisters, Louise Simmons of Maury City and Diane Roberson of Coldwater, Miss.; four brothers, Nixon Brasfield of Friendship, James Brasfield of Memphis, Willie Brasfield of RoEllen and Wayne Brasfield of Bartlesville, Okla.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Cheryl Watridge Brasfield; and his parents, Russell and Carrie Hawkins Brasfield.
Howard Jones, 86, of Dyersburg, died Friday, Sept. 28, 2007 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
He was owner of Highlander Cleaners, a veteran of the Navy Air Corps and a member of Parr Avenue Church of Christ.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg with Bro. Scott Owen officiating.
The family will receive visitors at 4:30-6 p.m. today at Curry Funeral Home.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Jeanne Holt of Dyersburg; a son, Kenneth Jones and wife, Wanda, of Dyersburg; two sisters, Crystal Lee Burns of Little Rock, Ark. and Hellice Clark of Mobile, Ala.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Jones; his parents, George Washington Jones and Onie Lee Jones; two sisters, Vonnie Davis and Ramona Blankenship; and five brothers, Clifton Jones, Grady W. Jones Sr., Ronald B. Jones, Basil Jones and Allie Jones.
Pallbearers will be Billy Newsome, Fleming Hodges, Mike Bevis, Marty Moody, Jerry Brewer and Woody Clifton. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Yates, Woody Woods, T. Cutchin, Walt Moore and Flois Murphy.
The family requests that any memorials be directed to Alzheimer's Association or Dyersburg Humane Society.
Dorothy Campbell Lanier
Dorothy Campbell Lanier, 77, of Dyersburg, died Saturday, Sept. 29, 2007 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
She was a retired employee of the Dyer County Court Clerk's office and a member of First Christian Church.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home in Newbern with Dr. Steve Gaines officiating. Burial will be in Dyer County Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive visitors at 5:30-7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Survivors include a son, Timothy Parker Lanier and wife, Blair, of Collierville; and two granddaughters, Mallory Campbell Lanier and Grace Tipton Lanier, both of Collierville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James P. Lanier; her parents, Charles Monroe Campbell and Nancy Russell Williamson Campbell; and four brothers, Adrian Gordon Campbell, Charles Robert Campbell, Clyde Thomas "C.T." Campbell and William Percy Campbell.

Izola Hatch Patton, 82, of Dyersburg, died Wednesday, Sept. 26 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
She was a homemaker and a Methodist.
Services were at 10 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Halliburton officiating. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg.
Survivor include three sons, Billy Patton, Charles Patton and Eddie Patton, all of Dyersburg; a sister, Crindola Milner of Dyersburg; 23 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar L. Patton Sr.; a daughter, Barbara Williams; and her parents, Leo and Clara Boyd Hatch.

James E. Permenter, 92, of Dyersburg, died Sunday, Sept. 30, 2007 at Dyersburg Manor Nursing Center.
He was a retired employee of Dyersburg Fabrics after 20-plus years and a retired farmer and attended McCullough's Chapel Baptist Church.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Curry Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Williams officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg.
