Mandy Douthit, 76, of Tiptonville, died Friday, Oct. 19, 2007 at her residence.
She was a retired employee of Henry I. Siegel Co., a Christian, and very active in Relay for Life.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Calvary Independent Baptist Church with the Rev. Carl Southerland officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery in Ridgely. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive visitors from 6-9 p.m. today at the church.
Survivors include five daughters, Cindy Childress and husband, Tommy, of Anniston, Ala., Lynette Hopper and husband, Gene, Delila Curvin and husband, William “Baldy”, and Melissa Leinweber and husband, Loren, all of Tiptonville, and Darlene LaMora and husband, Pete, of Longmont, Colo.; five sisters, Lucille Thompson of Union City, Lillian Ogden of Ripley, and Allene “Sissy” Story, Elizabeth “Tooter” Parker and Mary Marvin, all of Tiptonville; a brother, Billy Marvin of Ridgely; seven grandchildren, Jill Craft, Jennifer Furr, Crystal Tolley, Becky Taylor, Abigail LaMora, Katie Poole and Josh Leinweber; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Coy Douthit; a sister, Nora Lee Berry; two brothers, Markham Marvin and Joe Marvin; and two grandchildren, William Matthew Curvin and Brandon Leinweber.
Pallbearers will be Greg Story, Joe Marvin Jr., Jeff Ogden, Jason McClain, Rodney Marvin and Pete LaMora. Honorary pallbearers will be James Eddlemon and all of her sons-in-law.
The family requests that any memorials be directed to Care-All Home Health of Ridgely, Hospice Program, or the American Cancer Society.
