Dot Hurd, 78, of Dyersburg, died Friday, Nov. 2, 2007 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
She was retired as office manager for the Dyer County Court Clerk's office, office manager for the Dyer County Fair Association, longtime employee of Bogota Gin Company, worked at the Dyer County Health Department, was an avid bowler and antique dealer known as "The Lamp Lady."
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Fairview Cemetery. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive visitors from 5:30-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
The widow of Harold Hurd, her survivors include two daughters, Harolyn Council of Dyersburg and Suzanne Sawyer of Miston; a sister, Julin Huey of Milan; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Price Wayne "P.W." Powers, 63, of Finley, died Friday, Nov. 2, 2007 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
He was a machinist, a Baptist and an Army veteran.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Curry Funeral Home with the Rev. Billy Tucker officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife, Belinda Powers of Finley; a son, Justin Powers of Finley; a sister, Christine Lavender of Dyersburg; and two nephews, Michael Williams of Newbern and Mitchell Williams of Memphis.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny and Rosie Bell Kimbrell Powers; and a brother, Odes Powers.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Bopp, Keith Ables, Justin Puraty, William Ortega, Sammy Reed and Michael Gregory. Honorary pallbearers will be George Simmons, Billy Mac Ables and Pete Pleasant.
Bette Jean Rudman, 76, of Commerce, Ga., died Thursday, Sept. 20, 2007.
She retired as a lab technician at the Veterans Administration Hospital and was a native of Dyersburg.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Bernstein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include a daughter, Vicki Jean Clark of Commerce, Ga.; a sister, Janie Walsh of Venice, Fla.; stepbrothers Billy and Tommy Lewis, both of Dyersburg; and a granddaughter, Jessica Marie Clark of Commerce.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Carmey Floyd and Beulah Mae Lewis Caudel.
