Katherine S. Conyers, 80, of Dyersburg, died Monday, Nov. 5, 2007 at Dyersburg Manor Nursing Center.
She was a retired dress-shop manager, a member of Dyersburg Chamber of Commerce, Dyersburg Regional Medical Center Medical Auxiliary, Dyersburg Women's Club, Good Earth Garden Club and First United Methodist Church.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. today in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg with Dr. Phillip Cook officiating. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include a sister, Louise Robbins of Dyersburg; a niece, Camille Mack Hansen of Nashville; and three nephews, Duane Baker of Union City, Jan Baker of Jackson and John A. Robbins of Nashville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Percy A. Conyers; her parents, John L. and Anna Eunice Dunevant Simpson; and two sisters, Mary Eunice McGraw and Winnie Laverne Baker.
Pallbearers will be Duane Baker, Jan Baker and Tommy Weakley.
The family requests that any memorials be directed to First United Methodist Church, 100 McGaughey, Dyersburg, TN 38024 or to the charity of the donor's choice.
Billy N. Gruggett, 59, of Newbern, died Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2007 at Dyersburg Manor Nursing Center.
He was a retired employee of Dyersburg Fabrics and the state of Tennessee Department of Transportation.
Graveside services will be today in Rehoboth Cemetery in Newbern with the Rev. Perry Grills officiating. Johnson-Williams Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Sylvia Gruggett of Newbern; a daughter, Karen Gruggett of Dyersburg; a half-sister, Stella Murphy of Long Beach, Calif.; a grandson, Kurt Sanders of Dyersburg; and an uncle, Leonard Zaricor of Dyersburg.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill Gruggett and Mary Juanita Zaricor Carroll.
Pallbearers will be Billy King, Robert Taylor, Gene Autry, David French, Larry Bentley. Larry French and Guy Bentley.
