Berinese Ozment Carter, 87, of Halls, died Friday, Nov. 30, 2007 at Dyersburg Manor Nursing Center.
She was a homemaker and a member of Southside Baptist Church.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Curry Funeral Home with the Rev. Loren Stephens and the Rev. Joe Naylor officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg.
The family will receive visitors from 3-5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Survivors include three daughters, Mildred Brady of Humboldt, Jane Snyder of Halls and Cindy Oliver of Medina; two sons, Edward "Eddie" Alford Carter of Dyersburg and Charles Earl Carter of Halls; three sisters, Linda Dessie "Dimple" Otto of Lafette, Ind., Martha "AZ" Gosch of Greenwood, Ind., and Garnetta "Dot" Marchiese of Wilmington, N.C.; 11 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Grady Carter; a daughter, Mary Faye Byrd; her parents, Jessie Arthur Ozment and Shellie Blanche Ray Ozment; a sister, Jessie Blanche "Dink" Kerinon; a brother, Herman Alford "Son" Ozment; and a grandchild, Carlton Vance Byrd.
Pallbearers will be Ike Ware, Nelson Richards, Billy Jones, David Boswell, Darrell Gibson and Jimmy Atchison. Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Fisher and Lewis Luckett.
Polly A. White, 80, of Friendship died Friday, Nov. 30, 2007 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
She was a member of Friendship United Methodist Church and a retired nurse and receptionist for her husband.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Friendship Funeral Home with the Rev. John Kilzer and the Rev. Mike Hickman officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg.
The family will receive visitors from 4-8 p.m. today and 4-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Survivors include a daughter, Lamar Ann Hubbard and husband, Dennis, of Friendship; two grandchildren, Matthew W. Hubbard and wife, Angie, of Brentwood, and Nicole Bowling and husband, Shane, of Friendship; and three great-grandchildren, Coleman Hubbard, Avery Bowling and Audrey Bowling.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Dr. Lamar A. White; and her parents, Carl and Pauline Hodges Speegle.
Pallbearers will be Matthew W. Hubbard, Shane Bowling, Jim Kelly, Harold Park, Ham York Haley, Thomas Gourley, Percy Thompson and Casey Burnett. Honorary pallbearers will be Blake Haley, Phil Park, Donnie Smith, Tim McDaniel, Walter Thompson, Anthony Jones, Dr. John Baker and Donna, employees of the Jackson Clinic Pulmonary Department and Dr. John Jenkins.
Dorothy B. Williams, 78, of Friendship, died Thursday, Nov. 29, 2007 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
She was a homemaker.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Friendship Funeral Home with Dr. Mike Melton officiating. Burial will be in Bellevernon Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 4-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Survivors include Ann Elkins and husband, Harold, and Cindy L. Smith and husband, Donnie, all of Friendship; a son, Frankie Williams and wife, Linda, of Friendship; two sisters, Lela Brooks and Barbara McGarity, both of Friendship; a brother, Bill Holland of Tigrett; five grandchildren, Brad Elkins and wife, Holly, Heather Williams, Daniel Smith and wife, Brittany, Chipper Williams and Ben Burton; and a great-grandchild, Kristina Criswell.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilson Williams; a son, Ricky Williams; and two brothers, Edward Holland and Ray Holland.
Pallbearers will be Monte Walker, Ben Burton and Jason McGavok. Honorary pallbearers will be Chipper Williams, Kevin Holland, Heather Williams and Kristina Criswell.
