Georgia Mae Barber, 69, of Obion, died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2007 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
She was a retired factory worker and active in crochet, craftwork and gardening.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Ridgely Church of God of Prophecy with the Rev. Clayton Mahan officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 5:30-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Ridgely Chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include three daughters, Diane Scott of Arkansas, Linda Zumwalt of Johnson City, Ill., and Carol Goodale; two sons, Daryl Barber of Obion and Ronnie Barber of Mountain City; six sisters, Mary Helen Murphy and Shirley Gibbs, both of Dowelltown, Bonnie Howell of Smithville, Dorothy Neil of Woodbury, Betty Jo Hancock of McMinnville, and Sue Mitchell of Cookeville; four brothers, H.B. Baker of Lansing, Mich., Billy Ray Baker of Tiptonville, and Glenn Baker and Jimmy Earl Baker, both of Smithville; 12 grandchildren, including a grandson she raised, Tyler James Barber of Obion; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John R. Barber; two sons, Terry Barber and Richard Earl Barber; and her parents, Walter Richard Baker Sr. and Virginia Louise Tarr Baker.
Pallbearers will be Daryl Barber, Shawn Barber, Eugene Goodale, Stacy Starnes, Chris Walley and Donnie Tolley.
James L. Bizzle, 69, of The Villages, Fla., died Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2007 at Leesburg Regional Medical Center.
He was a retired receiving inspector for Ford Motor Co. and a member of Village View Community Church in Florida.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home in LaGrange, Ky. Burial will be in Valley of Rest Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife, Marlene J. Bizzle; a son, Steven L. Bizzle and wife, Donna; a sister, Helen Mooney; a brother, J.C. Bizzle and wife, Geraldine; two grandchildren, Christina and Jonathan Bizzle; and nieces Diane, Lorie and Corie.
The family requests that any memorials be directed to the American Cancer Society.
James Thomas Scott, 62, of Dyersburg, died Monday, Dec. 3, 2007 at Dyersburg Manor.
Graveside services were held at East Court Cemetery in Dyersburg with the Rev. Charles F. McCright officiating. Cosmopolitan Funeral Services was in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Woods Scott of Dyersburg; a daughter, Shirley Scott of Jackson; a son, Billy Scott of Jackson; a sister, Brenda Walker of Gary, Ind.; and a brother, Thomas Earl Johnson of Ripley.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Shirley Denise Scott.
